16th September- Fashion Fusion Event The Rajput Bhoiraj Samaj Youth group finally got to perform their dance, drama and fashion show. With over 140 people the event was a success! Click here to read about Jagruti Khodiyar's experience of being a part of the Naitika project
16th-18th Rajput Bhoiraj Samaj Last week was all about the environment and recycling and designing. This week it's all a bout drama and the supply chain! The group met Shane Solanki who got the group to shake off any of the blues they might have about performing.
10th August-Highfields Centre "Threads" the girls finally got to cut their clothes and start sewing.
9th-11th Rajput Bhoiraj Samaj This summer scheme kicked off this week and we have had up to 20 people coming to the sessions. This week the group worked with Traid designers to come up with some amazing designs and the clothes look awesome
3rd August-Highfields Centre "Threads" The girls simulated a garment workshop and got a glimpse of what it must be like for garment workers
27th July-Highfields Centre "Threads" The group met for the first time since Easter and discussed thier values and how their values change when shopping
1st July-Rushey Mead Present: Fashion Passion The Girls Group finally got to put their acting chops to the test and show off their innovative designs when they performed their Fashion Passion event!If you were unlucky enough to miss the event fret not! We will be having more events in August but for now go to our blog and read about the Fashion Passion event.
12th June-animation Group The group met after a one month hiatus, and this first session back was all about filming the credits... Yes that's right filming the credits! Hopefully they won't be longer than the whole animation.
10th June-Rushey Mead Group The finishing touches were made to the Junk 2 Funk fashion show.
3rd/4th June-Rushey Mead Group As it was Half term the girl's took this time to dedicate two days to practising the performance. There were more script changes giving the performance more to look forward to!
13th May-Rushey Mead Group The girls met Shane Solanki who got them to practice their best 'Eastenders.. duf duf' moments, in an effort to stretch the girl's acting chords!
15th April-Rushey Mead Group Naitika ran an activity, where the girls competed against one another to see who could make the most t-shirts. the girls really got to see how different their lives are from the garment workers in India. The group also got a sneak peak at the script which is half drafted.
10th April-Animation Group Each person from the group experimented with using a camera for filming and some people brought some amazing props that will be seen in the film.
27th March-Animation Group This session was used to draft the strory board
13th March-Animation Group The group explored different examples of animations that could be used for filming
10th March-Rushey Mead Group A timeline of actions for the event were mapped out
4th March-Rushey Mead Group The group tapped into their creative side and brainstromed ideas for their event
18th Feb-Rushey Mead Group Youth group discussed issues of labour rights and the environment
