Issues
Our growing needs seem to be exceeding the rights for the workers
of big retailers operating in developing countries. Due to our ‘want’ of the
trendiest fashion, the high demand for large quantities
of clothes put extreme pressure on suppliers. Pressure passed onto workers who
are forced to produce more garments in less time. In most cases without
a corresponding rise in pay
Fast fashion is a problem
Who is being affected?
The labourers involved in making clothes.
Why are they being affected?
The people demand goods in real time, and retailers put pressure
on for fast turnover times
At the cost of the Labourer’s quality of life and the environment
around you!
